Welcome to the home of the Lone Hawk's Nest Photography!

Featuring the beautiful spring waters of the Wolf River.
Photo Of The Month: EFFitzgeraldDam found under "Hunting River".
Spectacular fall colors are one thing the North Woods of Wisconsin is good for. Here we have the Hunting River looking west of the Fitzgerald dam with the Hardwoods peeking while the Popular and Aspens are yet to their potential. Just east of here is where the “Blue Springs” portion of the Hunting River begins. It then flows into the Wolf River just a few miles downstream and almost doubles the total amount of water. The changing weather pattern is creating a dynamic view to a calm afternoon with duck hunters sounding off their guns in the background showing appreciation of their sport. This photo is a collection of several “portrait” shots stitched together. I used my Canon Rebel XT mounted with a classic Zeiss 20/4 capped with a Nikon polarizer. Find this and more by using the above links.
