I started photography in 1990 when a good friend of Tail Wind Bicycle Shoppe sold me his Nikon F with a 50mm 1.4f and 135mm. I had a need to begin to collect photos of my work completed in the shop.

Over the years I collected equipment to reach the desired photos output. I have been asked to photo weddings and events on a number of occations.

I moved to the NE corner of Wisconsin in 04’ where the spring waters of the Wolf River lie. I began to photo the beauty around me and offered “Desktop” pictures on my web site in 04’. The spring of 05’came and I had to make room for the bicycle stuff (This web site was originally produced to provide a way to offer my product and personal knowledge about the bicycle business in 1997). I began to get email from individuals that wanted the photos back, or at least they wished to pay me for my work. I decided to strap a camera to my body and take it everywhere I go.

I had a Canon 200s 2megipexle camera and had been studying the digital high end market for 6 years. I purchased a Canon Rebel XT in the fall of 05’ to keep film developing to a minimal. Areas of its specifications that were what I was looking for as minimum requirements in a high end SLR were:
1: Color Depth. Canon’s software offers 48 bit TIFF.
2: RAW. Canon’s onboard software offers digital negatives and firmware upgrades.
3: Lens compatibility with the many 35 SLR’s manufactures that I own. Converters are available and I have produced my own for the Topcon/Exacta mount.
With lens converters I am able to use all of my lenses on this fine camera.

For film I have a slide/negative scanner that I can get 48bit 3000dpi scans and get the most out of my film. All photos final rendering are put through Adobe Photoshop CS.

All of this adds up to a product that I am sure that you will find the quality is what it can be; stunning highly detailed color accurate photos. Currently I offer cost effective prints from my Canon i550 or Pro die-sublimated prints from Walgreen’s. If I do the pre-press, they can provide a great result! I have now found a developer for my stitched pan-a-view wide angle photos. Some of these photos on 36 inch paper are going to be incredible!

So, photos are taken usually around an event. One type of these events could be a walk in the back “40” that the Wisconsin DNR has indicated to me is of the size of 140,000 acres and homes a number of lakes and the Wolf River. This is an area that is south of Post Lake where the Wolf River meets its first dam. North of Post Lake the Wolf River is in its spring waters. It is in this area I do a great deal of my cycling. Truly it is God’s country.

The next challenge was to organize photos in some type of fashion that can be consistent over time. I have already accumulated over 300 photos in 18 months. It is going to be hard to choose the best ones for you to purchase. This brings me to the need to publish a book….

Any questions please inquiry. I can also photograph you wedding or event if you live in the Antigo Wisconsin area.
