Air Hardening alloy.

OX Platinum is grafted from True Temper's proprietary air hardening alloy. This alloy actually gains strength through a metallurgical transformation in the welds area as a result of welding or brazing. The Vanadium in OX Platinum makes this tubing "temper resistant", resulting in an 11% increase in fatigue life and a 20% increase in impact over the competition.

Ultra light Weight

The OX Platinum line of advanced bicycle tubing is actually up to 8% greater lighter than it's predecessor -OX Gold. This weight savings was accomplished through a combination of changes that included optimized wall thickness, butt lengths and variable tube lengths that can be custom tailored to specific frame geometries.

Heat Treated austempered to a Rockwell hardness of RC40 to yield 195 KSI tensile strength and 7% elongation.

Variable tube lengths choose from a variety of top and down tubes lengths for more frame building flexibility and potential weight savings. Triple butted optimized wall thickness for custom tailored frame geometries.

Lifetime tubing warranty.

The OX Platinum line of bicycle tubing from True Temper is so advanced that we can offer a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity of each OX Platinum tube. If an OX Platinum tube fails, for any reason, True Temper Sports, Inc will replace it at no charge.
