At the heart of every steel frameset is a welder. Every welder in the cycling industry has devoted their craft to bring together the harmonic relationship of art and function. We each have our reasons for doing things ‘Our Way’.

Jalon Hawk is no exception here. The silver brazing technique that is used here at Desperado Cycles is one of delicacy. Using Oxygen and Propane for the gas mixture allows a very small flame to be used-smaller than a ‘bic’ lighter's flame. It burns very clean, allowing no impurities to contaminate the flux or filler during use.

Using 5lbs of pressure per tank when silver brazing, while the orifice of the torch tip is 03. This allows a flame that is small is size and easy to control in the affective area of the solder joint. The result is the ability to get the 45% cadmium free silver to flow before the tubing begins color.
