The 'S-3' is the flag ship of Desperado Cycles and True Temper Sports. True Temper's S-3 tube set head tube accommodates both 1 inch and 1 1/8th inch steerers. Finishing touches are Henry James dropouts. ‘Problem Solvers’ head tube inserts are installed to reinforce the head tube and allow the use of a 1” headset.

Due to the nature of the S-3 tubing, Desperado Cycles uses the exclusive ‘StayTite’© seat stay cluster for the absolute minimum amount of heat to the tubing, and strongest possible configuration of tubing. Rider weight limit is to 190lbs.

The fork is a Desperado Cycles 1" steering column custom fork using the Henry James Crown, True Temper NCOFB .9/1.1 blades and Henry James dropouts weighing at approximately 1.5lbs. The frame allows the use of True Temper’s carbon Alpha Q Sub 3 and Alpha Q Pro forks.
