Mountain bike frame geometries are interesting in the fact that the distance from the axle centerline to the crown race is different for many types of suspension forks. To this date the manufactures have this distance to mostly three lengths. The original early to mid 90’s forks used a distance of 43.1cm. Today’s forks come mostly in 80mm or 100mm travel and their distance is 44.7cm and 46.8cm respectively. In addition to this I design the frame to have a 30% sag when the rider is on the bike. So when you get your frame and it measures up tall or the angles are shallow when you are not sitting on the bike, this is why. Please specify when ordering this measurement. All frames come with a head tube to accommodate a 1 1/8th inch steerer.
For those that wish to have a “tighter” rear triangle may choose the optional ‘StayTite’© seat stay cluster for the absolute minimum amount of heat to the tubing, and strongest possible configuration of tubing
