Desperado Cycles has the purchasing ability to provide parts at a competitive price through the manufacturing of framesets and the building of fine machines. I will be quick to note that when purchasing kits or groups, I personally inspect every part that you order to make sure that you get what you are purchasing. This includes the inspecting of wheels if the kit or group is from a supplier for their trueness and that the spoke tension is in specification. If you would like me to set up a current frame that you have, please let me know. Appointments can be made for those who are in the Wausau/Antigo Wisconsin area.
I am not an online reseller per-say. I post components to provide comparisons to similar item prices. I have available to me just about any bicycle related product in the business. When you decide to get your dream machine built, we will have more than enough time to sort through what your interests are. BTI is one of my leading wholesalers and is now offering access to their complete database online for consumers. You can use this and create a component package for your frameset. Just find the description and the part number and enter it in the appropriate form field and send submit. From there we can put together a custom bicycle of your dreams!

As for wheels, I began building custom bicycles in 1970.
As with anyone else, I have my preferences for certain products.
If there is a wheel set or component package that you may be interested in please feel free to send me a list and I will put it together. I can create a web page to use Papal for your payment method if you wish.
Wheels that have defects due to 'unusual' use will be inspected for
damage caused from neglect and if the manufacture warrants 'parts only'
then labor will be charged for rebuilding.
